River Paddling Fundamentals

Description

After learning your basic skills in the fundamentals courses, you're ready to apply them to moving water. This course will teach you how to read the river, deal with strainers and other potential obstructions, rescues, ferrying, and a variety of other imprtant skills.

Meet at the Puckerbrush Access boat ramp north of the Van Meter exit off Interstate 80. Bring a change of clothes, lunch, water, and dress to get wet.

Prerequisite: Kayaking Fundamentals I & II or Canoeing Fundamentals I & II

Cost is $100 plus tax
