CanoeSport Outfitters has donated a Current Designs Kestrel 120 kayak to the Hickory Ridge Project. This project is an effort by the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation, the Lake Red Rock Association and the Army Corps to create a Wilderness Camp near the Whitebreast Recreation Area on Lake Red Rock.

The project is currently raising the money necessary to purchase the land which will be turned into the Wilderness camping area. The kayak will be auctioned and the proceeds will go toward this effort.

The Kestrel 120 is a 12' recreational kayak made of rotomolded plastic. It features a stern hatch and bulkhead, an adjustable backrest, and thigh padding.

This boat will come with the standard CanoeSport offer of a free four hour Recreational Kayaking course for whoever receives the kayak.
