Canoeing Fundamentals I

Description

Learn the fundamentals of canoeing. This course focuses on the basics of getting your canoe to go where you want it to go. Our focus is on the forward, draw, pry, and sweep strokes and how they can be used by both paddlers to manuever the canoe efficiently. We introduce the j-stroke and discuss communication between the bow and stern paddler. In addition we cover safety and teach you what to do if you tip over your canoe.

Prerequisite: None

Cost is $50 plus tax
